All clients and visitors to the shelter are required to follow these basic rules, which are posted at several locations inside and outside the Legion Hall. Refusal to comply with the rules means being trespassed from the property.
- If it’s illegal outside, it’s illegal inside
- Clean up after yourself
- No hate speech, bullying, or violence
- No weapons
- No littering on the property or in the neighborhood
- Keep quiet after 11:00 pm
- No panhandling or hassling neighbors or visitors
- Keep track of your stuff—only YOU are responsible for your things
- No yelling, fighting, or disruptive behavior at the shelter or in the neighborhood
- Wash your hands before eating, and use utensils
- Smoke in designated areas only
- Be dressed at all times and wear shoes in public spaces
