The mission of St. Catherine Philoptochos, a women’s philanthropic organization at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church on Capitol Hill, is to assist people in dire need. This year, the group has generously committed a total of $6,270 to pay Westside Neighbors Shelter’s utility costs for the entire calendar year! Thank you so much to the members

The Overnight shelter will be open tonight (Tuesday, March 12) through Friday night (March 15). Warm Up Center and breakfast will be open in the morning as usual.

The overnight shelter will be open tonight (Thursday, March 7) and tomorrow night (Friday, March 8), but will be closed starting Saturday, March 9, until further notice. The Warm Up Center will continue to open each morning, and will be serving breakfast as usual.

Based on the weather forecast for this weekend, Keith will open the shelter again for overnight stays on Saturday, February 3, until further notice. Doors open at 5 pm for overnights, dinner served at 6:30. The shelter is closed to any further entry after 10 pm. The Warm Up Center opens from 7:30 to 11

–The shelter will be open 24 hours tonight and Thursday. –Friday and Saturday, the shelter will close at 11 am and reopen at 5 pm for overnight. After Saturday, the shelter will not be open overnight until the next time the temperature drops below 40 degrees. –On Sunday, the shelter will be open for breakfast

Between the benefit concert at Kenyon Hall in December and a GoFundMe campaign, the fundraisers led by West Seattle’s own Pearsall Properties have been a big success! They have now raised $33,360, which will go toward operations expenses at Westside Neighbors Shelter: blankets, cots, electricity, heat, and so much more. Thank you to Pearsall Properties,

The Overnight Cold Weather Shelter will be closed Wednesday, December 27 through Saturday, December 30. However, the morning Warm Up Center will remain open each day from 7:30 to 11 am; breakfast will be served as usual. Full operation of the Cold Weather Center will resume on Sunday, December 31.

The shelter will close on Saturday, December 2 at 11 am (after warm up), and reopen Thursday, December 7, at 7:30 am.
