Westside Neighbors Shelter will open for overnight stays on Saturday, November 22, with some operational changes and a new partnership. This year, Burien Severe Weather Shelter, operated by Highline United Methodist Church, will work in cooperation with Westside Neighbors Shelter to provide overnight staffing and security for the 2025-2026 winter season. Tonight at 5 pm! All Souls and Shelter Church Seattle will host a community dinner at Westside Neighbors Shelter in the American Legion Hall, 3620 SW Alaska, every Friday night at 5 pm. (Although Westside Neighbors Shelter is not affiliated with any religion, the Legion Hall is always available for community events.) All are welcome,

The sewer line at the American Legion Hall has been repaired, and the shelter will open for breakfast tomorrow as usual, from 7 to 11 am.

A main sewer line between the Legion Hall and 37th Avenue SW has broken. Repairs are scheduled to begin 6:30 am Monday, August 18. Unfortunately, the Warm Up Center and breakfast will need to be canceled until the problem can be fixed. Signs will be posted to alert clients, and we’ll keep everyone updated on

Even though warmer weather is here, people with nowhere to sleep at night still need somewhere to clean up and get something to eat. Many downtown shelters provide no food or amenities. Westside Neighbors Shelter is open year-round as a warmup and breakfast center from 7 to 11 am. Currently, each morning we are serving
